* here's the simple version *

   

          the morning judges meeting, roll call  . . .         the roster of automobiles . . .         the assignments are distributed . . .       

        * everybody starts with 100 pts . . . . . . .  That's GREAT

           

 let's start with the engine . .         now, the wheel wells . .              brake lights . .                 the undercarriage . .     hmmm . . . .    

 

* every item that the judges find, that is not original, correct, clean or perfect

will get points deducted . . . . . . . . . That's BAD

 

 

( they look everywhere. . .  high and low, and under everything ) 

 

 

 

                     

get ready for tabulation . .     trying to influence a judge, with credit cards and pepperoni pizza . .   can't beat having an original  tool set . .

 

   

* if the automobiles are in close competition / condition,

 the judges . .  will . .  look . .  for . .  differences . .  to award point DEDUCTIONS  . . .  That's STRESS

 

 

( ties don't usually happen )

  

 

                       

stiff competition !  . .    grease under the hood? . .   grass stuck in the tire treads? . .  judges discuss and compare notes
